working in partnership to make Dorset safer

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation was established in 2008 to honour the memory of John Thornton, a young Royal Marines Officer who was tragically killed at the age of 22, whilst serving in Afghanistan.

One of the many things the Foundation is involved in is supporting  organisations with scholarshiop and bursary funds, Dorset Fire and Rescue Service Cadets are one of the groups eligible for consideration for an award, and have had successful applicants for the past three years.

In return we support ‘Project 1664’.

This aims to encouarge an additional 1664 people to sign-up to the e-newsletter, keeping supporters informed about their exciting news and forthcoming events.

Additionally the JTYAF is offering a crate of Kronenbourg to the 1,664th email contact added to our database. (Over 18’s only – under 18’s will receive a rather large box of Thornton’s chocolates).
