SafeWise is a new local Charity that has been established to operate the community safety education facilities and resources at Weymouth Community Safety Centre.
The community safety education facilities include, FireWise a real fire behaviour demonstration area with full size realistic domestic scenarios (both pre and post-fire) and IT learning facilities, and HealthWise a partnership with the National Health Service to provide innovative health education to the community. Plans are also developing for RoadWise, a small but life sized road network to teach road safety awareness to the community. The resources for community use include an information technology suite, several meeting and lecture rooms, a café, and a dance studio.
SafeWise would like local young people to get involved with the charity by entering our media project competition.
