working in partnership to make Dorset safer

Sponsorship

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service have now launched sponsorship packages for our four main areas of working, for the first time ever giving businesses the opportunity to share their brand with us. We are looking for sponsors who are willing to work with the Service to achieve a safer Dorset.

The aim is to allow the right business to be a partner with us either as an overall sponsor in terms of events, vehicles and stations or as sponsors of our very specific areas of work or products, namely; uniforms, transport, home safety checks and our education for young people, SafeD.

Darran Gunter, Chief Fire Officer said: "This is the first time Dorset Fire and Rescue Service has considered this approach in this approach in terms of working with businesses. This brand new initiative has been developed to give companies or organisations the chance to create a unique relationship with our staff and wider Service. In turn we can use the extra resources to make the communities of Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole safer at home and on our roads. Much of our work with young people for example, can no longer be supported from our decreasing budget, hence the need to look for innovative ways of opening up our Brand and our pursuit of safer communities to potential partners."

Head of Media and Communication, Carol Longman said: "Dorset Fire and Rescue Service in an enviable position as one of the most cost-effective services in the UK for its level of funding. This should hopefully generate a substantial amount of interest with our business community who will be able to maximise their sponsorship and marketing opportunities while entering into an exciting branding partnership with us with nil cost to the taxpayer."
