Community Rooms for hire at Weymouth

The new facility offers flexible spaces that can be used in creative ways to best serve the local and wider community.
 
Ground floor:
  • Fire Survival Studio (holds up to 28 people) This is generally used as a classroom for FireWise but when available can be used for meetings, classes and so on.
  • Fitness room (up to four people) This has a range of exercise equipment and showering/changing facilities.  Currently we don't hold classes ourselves but can provide the space for different activites, such as, NHS rehabilitation.
  • The Bay(holds up to 40 people) This can be used for recreational activities, holding displays and so on.
First floor:
  • Small meeting room(holds up to eight people) A smaller space to hold meetings, tutorials and so on.
  • The Gallery(holds up to 40 people) A large meeting room.
  • I.T. suite(holds up to 13 people) This is ideal for teaching computer skills or using as a homework club.  DFRS don't run classes, but the space is available for lessons to be held.
  • Community rooms 1 and 2 (hold up to 30 each or opened up to hold up to 60 people) With tables and chairs configured to your needs these rooms can be used for classes, meetings and conferences, as two separate rooms or as one large room.
Second floor:
  • Cafeteria space(up to 40 people at tables) Endless possibilities for community lunches and social get-togethers.
      The cafe is run by Dorset County Council - Vocational Services as Oh Crumbs Catering Service, part of its' work based projects.  The teams provide training in both catering and customer service skills.  At Oh Crumbs (Weymouth) trainees learn about food hygiene and food prepartion as well as having the opportunity to practise customer service skills through the deliveries and in-house service. 
  • The Studio(holds up to 60 people) Designed with a sprung floor and with staging available this can be used for all sorts of activities including dance, drama, exercise classes, music and conferences.
