Why work for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service?

Induction
All new members of staff attend a comprehensive Corporate Induction on joining the Service that covers:
- an introduction to all areas of the Service,
- a tour of Dorchester Fire Station,
- key training activities, such as: Equality and Diversity and Manual Handling.
Your induction will continue with on-the-job support.
Buddy
You will be assigned a ‘buddy’ on joining, who will be there to assist you during your early months with DFRS. They will help you with day-to-day queries and act as a ‘sounding board’ to support you when your manager is not available.
