Your Risks

Knowing Your Risk

Westborne is a safe place to live, work and visit but we need to help make you even safer.

How We Assess Risks

We assess risks by identifying the number of incidents within target groups and predict the number of fires likely within that target group over the next three years. We then look at the wards and work out in which wards we are likely to have the most fires and for Westborne this is shown on the map below. Risks are rated from Low to Very High.

Just because the ward is assessed as being at high risk does not mean that you are not safe. Simple precautions can improve safety in your home. To help with this, each of our fire stations has a tool which enables them to target individual properties that are most at risk and offer to complete afree home safety check which may include the fitting of a free smoke alarm.
