Information

Poole Fire Station opened on 14th August 2008.  The opening represented the culmination of a partnership between Dorset Fire Authority, Dorset Police and several Government departments.

Together they have provided a state of the art fire station which protects and serves the Poole community.
Facilities at Poole Fire Station accommodate three fire engines which also enables them to provide community facilities in Hamworhty.

To see if we're having an open day or event check out the events section of our website, we hope to see you soon!

Poole is a wholetime fire station with a retained crew. The retained have their drill night on Thursday.

Your Risks

Knowing Your Risk

Poole is a safe place to live, work and visit but we need to help make you even safer.

How We Assess Risks

We assess risks by identifying the number of incidents within target groups and predict the number of fires likely within that target group over the next three years. We then look at the wards and work out in which wards we are likely to have the most fires and for Poole this is shown on the map below. Risks are rated from Low to Very High.

Just because the ward is assessed as being at high risk does not mean that you are not safe. Simple precautions can improve safety in your home. To help with this, each of our fire stations has a tool which enables them to target individual properties that are most at risk and offer to complete a free home safety check which may include the fitting of a free smoke alarm.
